After selecting Derek Stingley Jr. with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans turned to the offensive side of the ball in the second round, trading up for former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver John Metchie III.

Metchie further added that he has been feeling “amazing” with his injury rehab process.

Metchie will join a Texans wide receiver corps that features the likes of Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins. Texans quarterback Davis Mills sure will have what he needs to build on his promising rookie campaign.
