Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Andrew Wiggins is available for Sunday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the team will still be without center Karl-Anthony Towns.

Wiggins has missed the last four games due to illness, while Towns remains out as he continues to struggle recovering from a left knee sprain he suffered on Dec. 13.

Towns has repeatedly been listed as questionable on a daily basis, but there are no indications that he is even close to game-ready status (via CBS Sports):

No surprise here, as Towns has not taken the floor since Dec. 13 while he battles a knee injury. The Wolves insist on listing the big man as questionable on a game-to-game basis, but there's been little evidence to suggest he was close to playing Sunday.

The Timberwolves will be hard-pressed to climb back into the playoff race without Karl-Anthony Towns.

The former No. 1 overall pick was averaging 26.5 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists while also shooting close to 42 percent from beyond the arc. He was having as good a season as any other big man in the NBA prior to sustaining the knee injury. There have been recent questions about his desire to remain with the Timberwolves, though his camp has denied any suggestion that he wants out of Minnesota.

Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins will look to get back on track after a horrific month of December. The Canadian-born swingman was having arguably the best season of his career until the final month of 2019 when he posted a net rating of -18, according to Basketball Reference.

Wiggins will have to carry the load as the Timberwolves continue to stay patient with Towns.
