Karl-Anthony Towns' night against the Grizzlies was both forgettable and unforgettable for Minnesota Timberwolves fans. His statistical production for that game was something meant for a journeymanā€¦ which made it pop out more. Fans were irate at Towns for his 8-point, 5-rebound, 5-foul game.

One of the people that blasted Karl-Anthony Towns was former NBA star Charles Barkley. While discussing the game, Barkley went on a minute-long rant regarding the Timberwolves star. Barkley was not happy with how Towns acted both on the court and during post-game interviews. (via NBA on TNT)

Barkley was irate at two things, in particular. The first was Towns' terrible game against the Grizzlies, in a must-win Game 3 for them. Posting just eight points and five rebounds as an All-Star center isn't a great look for the Timberwolves' franchise player. That was to be expected; Barkley, like fellow co-host Shaq, is critical of the current big man roster.

However, Barkley was also incensed at Towns seemingly being indifferent to their loss. In particular, the NBA legend pointed to Towns' ā€œdrinking wineā€ comments, saying that it was unacceptable for him to answer that way. Barkley would sum up his rant to the Timberwolves star with a few simple words, saying:

ā€œYou gotta play better, man!ā€

Towns and the Timberwolves will have a chance at redemption in a few days time against this Grizzlies team. However, the stakes will be much higher, as losing that game will drop them to the dreaded 3-1 hole. Can they muster up the mental fortitude to come back from this brutal loss?
