The Duke Blue Devils have received a major boost to their lineup for the upcoming collegiate wars.

Top high school prospect and Drew League standout Marvin Bagley III has announced his decision to commit to the Blue Devils, and will also re-classify for the 2017 class by foregoing his senior year. He appeared on ESPN on Monday to make the announcement, which was highly anticipated by a lot of college basketball scouts, and even NBA executives.

Listed at 6-foot-11 and 220 pounds, Bagley is a natural at the four position, but also versatile enough to play at the small forward and center spots. He transferred to Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California following his sophomore year at Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix, Arizona. The 18-year-old is a five-star recruit and top-ranked player across the board among all high school prospects.

His immediate addition to the Blue Devils next season will instantly make them among the favorites to win the national title, and once again proves that head coach Mike Krzyzewski is one of the best recruiters in college basketball. Marvin Bagley III thanked the legendary coach for giving him the opportunity to play for the school, as well as Duke alum Danny Ferry, for allowing him to wear his retired number 35 jersey once he moves to Durham, North Carolina.
