Golden State Warriors swingman Andrew Wiggins finally got the COVID-19 vaccine, allowing him to play in home games this season. Wiggins opened up on the decision after the Warriors' preseason opener on Monday night, and he clearly didn't seem too happy about having to get the jab.

He then explained why, and it seems a bad reaction to Tylenol has played a key role in his immense skepticism of essentially all medicine. These are pretty wild comments:

The cancer line is also pretty bonkers and seemingly a product of misinformation, but this at least shows why Wiggins has been so outspoken against the vaccine and why it took so long for him to give in and get it.

At the end of the day, Wiggins got the shot and that's a good thing. Most of the NBA is vaccinated at this point, with just a few holdouts left. Given the high vaccination rate, let's hope that COVID-19 isn't much of a disruption in 2021-22 and it can be a mostly normal season.

The Warriors are certainly hoping for a return to normality and the playoffs in this season. There were some positive signs in the preseason win over the Blazers on Monday, with Jordan Poole exploding for 30 points. Wiggins had 13 points in 16 minutes and will again be a key part of the rotation, especially with Klay Thompson not being ready yet.

Stephen Curry is certainly happy that Andrew Wiggins wised up and got the shot to help his team. It's now time to move on.
