While Andrew Wiggins has been forced to get the COVID-19 vaccine, he doesn't have any bad or unnecessary feelings toward the Golden State Warriors. After all, he knows the team has no power over the mandates or rules implemented by the city.

As Wiggins noted, his decision to get the vaccine came down to either getting it or not playing basketball at all. He was left with no other choice since not getting the vaccine would have prevented him from playing the game he loves. Not to mention the financial repercussions it has.

However, while the Warriors swingman knows the Dubs aren't the ones who made the regulation, it doesn't mean he's happy with it. He hinted as much in his postgame presser on Sunday following their preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers, with Wiggins throwing a shade at the city of San Francisco and the NBA for giving him no choice at all on what he puts into his body.

“I guess to do certain stuff, to work, I guess you don't own your body. That's what it comes down to. …” Wiggins said, per Nick Friedell of ESPN.

“If you want to work in society today then I guess [city govt./NBA] made the rules of what goes in your body and what you do. Hopefully there's a lot of people out there that are stronger than me and keep fighting, stand for what they believe and hopefully it works out for them.”

Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Steve Kerr and the rest of the Warriors have been supportive of Andrew Wiggins throughout the process. Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, he was just put in a tough position because of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate in the city.

With Wiggins vaccinated, though, the Warriors can now move past the issue and focus on the task at hand heading to the 2021-22 season: make the playoffs and contend for the title.
