The Golden State Warriors received a much-needed good news, as forward Draymond Green got the green light to play against the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center.

Green was a major doubt a couple of days ago after suffering from a left ankle sprain in their 118-112 loss to the Houston Rockets. The 28-year-old accidentally stepped on DeMarcus Cousin's foot during the fourth quarter of the game and had to leave due to the injury.

The Michigan State product didn't return in the match, and although initial findings reveal that the injury wasn't serious, there were still concerns if he would be fit in time for the Warriors' visit to Charlotte.

Green was initially listed as probable for the Hornets game. Fortunately, Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed that the three-time All-Star will be ready to play.

Draymond Green is putting up 7.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists per contest this season. He is also shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 70.3 percent from the free-throw line.

On other news, the Dubs will be without big man Jordan Bell who has been ruled out with flu-like symptoms. Bell has served primarily as a backup center, averaging 11.2 minutes per game this season. The 24-year-old is averaging 3.0 points and 2.6 boards while shooting 52.8 percent overall.

The Warriors will be raring to bounce back after their humiliating loss to the James Harden-less Rockets, and having Green back should help their cause.

Golden State boasts a 42-17 record so far, top of the Western Conference standings. They are second in the league overall, behind the 45-14 Milwaukee Bucks.
