The Chicago White Sox enter the 2022 MLB All-Star break on a high note after demolishing the Minnesota Twins on Sunday during an 11-0 victory. Winning pitcher Dylan Cease had a sterling performance to close out the four-game series, which the White Sox also won, three games to one. Cease also did not forget to remind the rest of the American League Central that the White Sox are still a huge threat in the division.

“We showed up,” Cease said, “and we showed that we're still here.”

Oh boy, the White Sox did really show up, as the score suggests. Dylan Cease whiled a masterpiece on the mound, pitching seven scoreless innings and allowing just a hit while punching out eight Minnesota hitters. Neither team scored until the fifth inning when the White Sox churned out five runs, giving Dylan Cease even more momentum for the rest of his start. On offense, all but one White Sox player who got an at-bat in the game managed to score at least a run.

With the victory, Dylan Cease and the White Sox managed to get back to .500 (46-46) before the end of the season's first half. They are now just three games behind the Twins in the AL Central. According to FanGraphs, the White Sox even have the best odds to make the playoffs among teams in their division.
