SRH vs RR, MCA Stadium. This is a new era for Sunrisers Hyderabad without David Warner and Rashid Khan. Two of the most consistent players are now not a part of SRH anymore. Williamson is now in charge of the team, and the squad is full of young talent. It will be interesting to see the batting orders of the players for SRH. As always, SRH has the most versatile bowling attack. Bhuvi, Natarajan, and Malik, with three distinct bowling profiles, provide depth in fast bowling.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals retained the batting core and bought some great bowling options. Trent Boult and Yuzi Chahal are the two big names, and Boult is now a powerplay specialist bowler. RR has better batting depth than SRH, at least on paper.

Batters – K Williamson, S Hetmyer, R Tripathi
AR – R Parag, A Sharma
Bowlers – T Boult, B Kumar, P Krishna, Y Chahal
Punt picks – K Nair (if plays), U Malik, A Markram (if plays)
Common C/VC – S Samson, J Butler, K Williamson
Punt C/VC – Y Chahal, R Tripathi, T Boult, A Markram
Punts:
- Aiden Markram: He can bat at any position but can be the game changer if allowed to bat at the opening position. He also provides an off-spin option against 3 left-hand batters of RR in the top 5.
- K Nair: Man in form with the capability to score big. If included in the playing 11, he can score big. The choice between Padikkal and Nair should not be hard for RR.
- Y Chahal: If used wisely, Chahal can destroy SRH batting in a couple of overs. He is a big threat to K Williamson.
- T Boult: If he managed to get swing in the initial overs, young inexperienced SRH batting would be vulnerable.
