Rich Strike made history with one of the biggest upsets in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, and a new video of the race just showed how incredible the victory was.

No one expected Rich Strike to win, let alone compete for the Kentucky Derby championship after being a late entry thanks to Ethereal Road being pulled out at the very last minute on Friday. With that said, the 80-1 odds for the horse to win might have even been too generous considering the situation.

However, as 3-year-old horse showed that odds are made to be defied with a rather spectacular comeback to win. While initial clips of the race didn't show clearly the path Rich Strike had to take to win, a new camera angle gave a better view of what can only be considered as a Kentucky Derby miracle.

Epicenter, Zandon and Messier came in as the betting favorites to win the Kentucky Derby, and for good reasons. After all, they all have the resumes and history to show to turn all the attention to them.

However, in any sport–especially horse racing–you can never really write off the underdogs. Naturally, Rich Strike's trainer Eric R. Reed was in disbelief over the upset win.

“I don’t know how (to put the win into words),” Reed said. “I fell down in the paddock when he hit the wire. I about passed out. I’m so happy. This is something, you know, is the reason everybody does this, because we’re not supposed to be here, but I knew this horse loved the track, and we’ve been training so good all year.”
