From one GOAT to another: Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to Twitter on Monday to give an early welcome to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady ahead of, remarkably, the QB's first-ever trip to L.A. to play an NFL game.

The Bucs (2-0) will visit the Los Angeles Rams (2-0) in a marquee Week 3 matchup at SoFi Stadium that may end up doubling as an NFC Championship Game preview.

James was on-hand at SoFi this past Sunday for the Los Angeles Chargers‘ home opener. At the game, the Lakers forward took a moment to catch up with another sports GOAT, fellow Lakers star and mogul Magic Johnson — allowing Johnson an opportunity to self-marvel at their combined NBA accolades.

In June, Brady appeared on James' HBO show, “The Shop”, though LeBron was not present for that episode.

Brady, at 44 years old and coming off his seventh Super Bowl ring, is lighting it up through the first two weeks of the 2020 season — his second with the Bucs.

After throwing for 379 yards and four touchdowns in Tampa's opening night victory over LeBron's formerly favorite NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys — who beat the Chargers on Sunday — the GOAT QB tossed five more TDs in Week 2. Tampa took down the Atlanta Falcons, 48-25.

Obviously, there were no NFL teams based in the Los Angeles area for the majority of Brady's career, as the Rams relocated back to L.A. in 2016 and the Chargers moved from San Diego one year later. Still, the notion that Brady, a 22-year (!) veteran, has never played a regular-season game in America's second-biggest city sounds a bit strange.

Beware: Brady may return in February, as Super Bowl LVI will be played at SoFi.
