LeBron had this to say when asked about his relationship with Jaylen Brown (via @CelticsCLNS)

Austin Reaves on if this was one of those games where it is difficult to get in rhythm: “You could say that. I thought they did a good job. Every time we kind of got a little bit of little momentum they either called timeout or, you know, a swing of momentum back in their possession. So, that's what they do. They play hard. And they can feel those moments and they can show that off tonight.”

LeBron on if he ever looks back and wonders what could have been with his time as a member of the Miami Heat: “I never said that I'm going to go there for four years and then decide to go. That's just how the cards were played. But yeah, it's human nature to look back and say what could have been. But you know, that's part of life. The four years we had were great. Obviously, we were able to pick up two championships. We lost two of them, unfortunately. But a lot of great memories [and] a lot of great times there. It would've been interesting to see what could have happened. I also wouldn't have given myself another 12 years to be playing this game either. So that's another story.”

LeBron on if he was able to see Pat Riley’s ceremony: “Absolutely. I got out there for a little bit and sat on the bench during half-time. That’s one of the all-time greats since he’s been a part of this league, as a player, as a coach, executive, front office, everything. Obviously, what he did here for the Lakers organization in the 1980’s, it goes without saying and rightfully so with him having a statue outside this building. I spent four years with him. I’ve got the upmost respect for him and for his family and everything. So, it's pretty cool.”

JJ Redick on Lakers’ chemistry at this point in the season and whether that’s impacting their passing on offense: “That's, again, it's something we talk about all the time. We're a better basketball team. We win more games if we have more potential assists. And get more assists.”

JJ Redick on what the Lakers need to improve on the offensive end: “There were opportunities, I think, to put more pressure on the rim. Particularly in the first half. We took 11 non-paint twos. We were 13-for-29 on paint twos, non-rim paint twos. That's not normally what we shoot. And then [we] got some good looks from three; we didn’t knock them down. So just, you gotta make shots in this league. [We] took care of the basketball. Now the one thing, I think a lot of times when teams are on that deeper draw versus all our guys that play pick-and-roll, it kind of puts you a little bit in a bind of not having the obvious choice to pass, if that makes sense. So, we’ve just gotta do a better job of just, finding guys and moving the ball.”

This was controversial for the lakers bench as JJ got a tech arguing, but just because the defender's hand enters the rim doesn't automatically make it a goaltend. Because it happened well before the ball was at or on the rim, and rim didn't vibrate, it's a play on.
