NBA legend Michael Jordan has released a statement following President Donald Trump's tirade against Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, which included 45 (as in the leader of the free world) saying he's an MJ fan.

For those missing the context, Donald Trump took to Twitter on Friday evening to bash LeBron James after watching the Lakers star on CNN.

Since then, piles and piles of NBA players have come out in support of LeBron James, but none with the international popularity of Michael Jordan.

It hasn't only been basketball players who have been backing The King. The Governor of Ohio also took a stand on Saturday morning.

JOhn Kasich took to the mean streets to back one of Ohio’s native sons.

This story doesn't appear to be over anytime soon.

Oddly enough, social media detectives did discover that the President was — at least at one time — a fan of James.

Back in 2012, when LeBron and the Miami Heat took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals, Trump jumped on the LeBron bandwagon.

There were also at least two different times 45 went as far to call LeBron a great person.

Numerous other personalities, both inside and outside the world of basketball, have come out in support of LeBron.

Only time will tell if this story extends beyond the weekend.
