When Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un met each other back in June, the rest of the world felt a little safer from a probable nuclear meltdown. Speaking of nuclear and meltdown, the President of the United States exemplified both qualities on Friday, when he unloaded on CNN news anchor Don Lemon and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James in a late-night Twitter post.
It may be the ungodly hours, but Twitter lit up shortly after the POTUS hit the Tweet button to attack both Lemon and James.
Here are some of the reactions to Trump’s tweet:

Rob Gorski issued a warning for Trump not to come to Ohio after disrespecting James.
You might want to think twice about coming to Ohio. You're insulting our local hero and we don't take kindly to that. @KingJames is changing lives for the better and you're destroying every life you touch.

Some pointed out how great and smart of a citizen James is as opposed to the image Trump is trying to paint about the three-time NBA champion.

LeBron James has done more for education than your Secretary of Education.

Some more reactions:
we all get what's happening here — Bron criticized him recently, and the bigots need their meat — but this is an ill-advised target choice. LeBron James is demonstrably better than Donald Trump at literally everything

LeBron James has done more to help children get an education than your entire administration.

So Trump finally went at LeBron, huh? Shocked it took this long. Not shocked it happened during a week where LeBron literally opened a school for at-risk kids.

A number of NBA players who are still up also chimed in. Frank Kaminsky of the Charlotte Hornets thinks that Trump’s diatribe is only a sign of the times. Brooklyn Nets forward Jared Dudley just wants a change of face in the White House, while former NBA player Dorrell Wright was simply left in awe.

As for Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, he’s definitely not having anything that comes out of Trump’s mouth – or Twitter feed.
Tired of you! https://t.co/3vYwL0OyMx
