Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young was pretty hyped up while using LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The young star used James and the Lakers in his match versus Phoenix Suns center DeAndre Ayton in the quarterfinals round of the NBA 2K Players Tournament on Thursday.

Young let out a huge scream after completing a one-handed throwdown with James' virtual character. He also happened to be wearing an 8/24 hoodie in honor of the late Kobe Bryant.

Check out Young's reaction as he screamed ā€œTurn me up, Bron!ā€ after the highlight.

Young and Ayton, meanwhile, went with the ā€œBattle of LA.ā€ The latter matched up with Young's Laker team by using its bitter rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers.

Both players generated some hype entering their game. Ayton upset Zach LaVine in the first round while Young breezed through Harrison Barnes.

Despite trailing for most of the match, Ayton managed to get the last laugh over Young. His Clippers used a strong fourth period to run away with a 73-66 win and advance to the semifinals of the 16-man virtual tourney.

Ayton will be awaiting the winner of the ongoing Patrick Beverley versus Andre Drummond match-up. Los Angeles Clippers slotman Montrezl Harrell also advanced to the final four after defeating Derrick Jones Jr. of the Miami Heat earlier.

Although it's still far from the real thing, the NBA 2K Players' Only tournament has somehow given fans something to get excited about during the quarantine period. The virtual games have become so intense that online bettors are having a field day during the tourney.

It remains unclear when and if the 2019-20 regular season will resume. Luckily, we have the 2K tournament and the upcoming HORSE challenge to keep us entertained.
