While Panini is mostly known for its wide array of basketball card products, they also produce sets for other sports, such as soccer, football, and Mixed Martial Arts. The latter is among the company's latest releases with a fanbase that's slowly growing by the day. And to cater to these collectors, Panini has recently released an early glimpse of their UFC Donruss set for 2022.
Just this week, various card shops and listing sources released a glimpse into Panini's upcoming Donruss UFC card set. Since the 1980s, the Donruss brand has always been at the forefront of sports cards and it has now found its way to feature the world's best MMA fighters.
The UFC card's base design, along with the Rated Rookie subset, takes its inspiration from Panini's basketball and football sets, which makes the fighter seem to pop out. Collectors can also chase various retail, short-printed, and numbered parallels from various packs and boxes.
When it comes to inserts, this UFC card product has a bunch of them that will make MMA fans giddy with excitement. Among the options collectors can chase are Crunch Time, Retro Series, and Octagon Marvels, which takes its artistic inspiration from comic books. Similar to the base cards, there is a number of short-printed and numbered parallels of these inserts included in hobby and retail formats.
UFC card collectors and MMA fans alike can get their hands on this Panini product in hobby box form by the end of this month. Each box contains 1o packs with 30 cards inside. Those with deeper pockets can go for a full case, which contains 10 Donruss UFC hobby boxes.
Looking at the success of Panini's latest Donruss basketball and football card sets, it's not hard to see this UFC-centric product gaining a lot of fans in the hobby.
