If there's one katana that Elden Ring Samurais would have on their wish list, it's definitely the Hand of Malenia Katana. With its weapon skill called the Waterfowl Dance, any Elden Ring player would surely like to go for the weapon to add in their collection. Of course, this is no walk in the park as to get the Hand of Malenia Katana, you really have to work for it. You will be battling one of the toughest optional bosses in Elden Ring that easily wipes out high level players. You can ask your friends to help you out to receive this beautifully crafted weapon. So how do we get the Hand of Malenia Katana?

Players must first and foremost defeat Morgott, the Omen King in Leyndell, Royal Capital. This will open the Path to the Grand Lift of Rold, which you need in order to proceed. After that, you need to find the left and right halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion. With it, you will use a hidden prompt at the Grand Lift to reach the Path to the Haligtree. Go north of the Grand Lift and Path, beyond Ordina, Liturgical Town is the Haligtree. From there, go to the bottom of Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. You will be facing one of the most difficult bosses you will encounter in Elden Ring, Malenia, Blade of Miquella. She will be waiting down the stairs from the Haligtree Roots site of grace.

Malenia, Blade of Miquella has two phases when you fight her. The first phase is easily readable once you get her attack pattern. Although what's annoying about her is that when she lands attacks on you, she will heal from every single hit she lands. Once you best her first phase, she will turn into Malenia, Goddess of Rot, making her more powerful and more unpredictable due to her wide range of attacks. She will also fly up having you to look up to see her attack pattern or where she will unleash her abilities. Still take note that all of her skills or hits that land on you would recover her health. Make every dodge count as it will save you time and resource to fell this monster of a boss. Once you defeat her, you will be rewarded with 480,000 runes and the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess, which is what we want to get. The Remembrance of the Rot Goddess is the key ingredient to finally getting what you came for.

Head straight to the Roundtable Holdand go towards the NPC Enia. She will draw out the Hand of Malenia from the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess for you to take. The Hand of Malenia needs you to have 16 Strength and 48 Dexterity to use it. Fully upgrading it with the base requirements, the weapon will have an AR of more than 500. Compared to other weapons, having an AR of 500 is just average given that it is already fully upgraded. The katana however does multiple hits that could easily kill any boss if hit by all of the slashes. Using the weapon skill Waterfowl Dance would delete any boss that is standing your way in an instant.
