However, they have been finding it difficult to get going, as they are sixth in the Eastern Conference <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/standings" rel="noopener">with a 3-3 record</a>.</p><p>The season is still very young and the Nets are still finding that team chemistry to propel them into the NBA playoffs and, hopefully, the finals. Nonetheless, a lack of discipline on defense could be costly if coach Steve Nash does not find an answer to their problems. Without the injured Spencer Dinwiddie, Nash is finding it difficult to find a lineup to replace the guard’s presence.</p><blockquote>“There’s so many attributes to Spencer that are important and valuable to our team outside of points, rebounds, assists. It’s a big loss because of his versatility, skill set, size, speed, defensive ability. A trio of All-NBA players, two of whom are MVPs, would make for a dangerous force in the Eastern Conference. Both Irving and Durant are also champions, solidifying their knowledge in what it’ll take from Harden to get over the hump in the playoffs.</p><p>The Rockets have tried to save face around the league, presenting the notion that they intend to “run it back” with Harden as their team leader next season despite emerging reports. Even so, the Rockets haven’t been able to climb the slippery slope that is the Western Conference during Harden’s time in Houston. The time may have come to part ways with their beloved superstar that they traded for back in 2012.</p><p>Houston would certainly be compensated heavily in exchange for Harden, which could help them in building for the future along with flipping some of those moveable pieces in another trade.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

To be fair, though, his Bad Boys Pistons did dominate Jordan’s Chicago Bulls during Thomas’ prime. The Pistons won back-to-back NBA titles in ’89 and ’90, while also disposing of MJ’s Bulls during the playoffs.</p><p>Thomas went on to express how Jordan was never in his crosshairs. Back then, Thomas had other greats in mind:</p><blockquote>“He just wasn’t my competition,” Isiah added regarding his supposed rivalry with MJ. “My focus was [Larry] Bird, Magic [Johnson], Dr. J [Julius Erving], Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Those were the guys. I don’t care what anybody says. You can go back and look at history — those were the guys.”</blockquote><p>Clearly, there is no love lost between these two. It will be interesting to see how Michael Jordan reacts–if ever he does–to this recent claim from Isiah Thomas. Georgia has long been a solid red state, but thanks in large part to Abrams and her tireless effort, Biden is on the brink of upsetting incumbent President Donald Trump.</p><p>In 2018, Abrams lost in her bid for governor against then-Secretary of State Brian Kemp. Abrams lost by a very slim margin (just 55,000 votes), and many claim that the election was stolen from her. Voter suppression was one of the primary reasons that was cited for Abrams’ defeat, and she has since been an advocate to fight the same.</p><p>For his part, Isiah Thomas himself has been quite active in the socio-political sphere. While he has not exactly been a Stacey Abrams, the two-time NBA champ has also gone out of his way to encourage Americans to vote — particularly the Black community. The two-time All-Star was playing the best basketball of his career when he suffered a horrific ruptured quad tendon in his right knee in the 2018-19 regular season. The 28-year-old ex-Hoosier initially ruled out his return this year, but he eventually changed his mind and suited up for the Pacers in 19 games.</p><p>Oladipo’s numbers were understandably down upon his comeback from a serious injury, but he still put up respectable averages of 14.5 points on 39.4 percent shooting from the field and 31.7 from downtown, along with 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27 minutes per game.</p><p>Isiah Thomas, meanwhile, does have a soft spot for Oladipo considering the striking similarities in their game. Like Dipo, Zeke was an extremely gritty guard for the Detroit Pistons back in his playing days.
