Aaron Judge's future with the New York Yankees remains a huge question mark amid his contract talks with the team. However, the star outfielder wants everyone to know that he wants to stay with the franchise if possible.

While Judge and the Yankees settled on a $19 million deal for 2022, what happens beyond is still a major concern for the team and its fans. The 30-year-old rejected the Yankees’ $213.5 million contract offer on Opening Day, and as things currently stand, he's poised to get more.

Of course coughing up such huge amount for Judge could be difficult for the Yankees, so they definitely have a tough decision waiting for them when the next free agency starts.

The Judge, however, reiterated that money is not the reason he's playing baseball. He also shared his desire to be a Yankee long-term, though he pointed out that the ball is not on his hands now.

“I play this game because I love it, God gave me a gift to be here and I don't take that for granted. It's never been about the money. I want to play for the Yankees, I want to be here for a long time, and if it works out, it works out — if it doesn't, it doesn't,” Judge said, via ClutchPoints Twitter.

Aaron Judge is expected to command a contract in the $300 million range in free agency, which is way less than the $230 million for eight years that the Yankees reportedly could have signed him with.

It remains to be seen what will happen to Judge and the Yankees, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye on since there's a real possibility the superstar could end up leaving the Big Apple.
