After the Los Angeles Dodgers blowout loss to the Baltimore Orioles with a 12-1 score, the team now faces the Minnesota Twins on Monday in a new series with a familiar face. As the Dodgers brush off the brutal Orioles series, there was a special moment for former Los Angeles and current Minnesota pitcher Anthony Banda.
As seen in a video reposted by Dodgers Nation, Banda got his recognition being a part of the 2025 team that won the World Series, receiving a ring while reuniting with his prior teammates. As mentioned, it is his second World Series with Los Angeles.
“Anthony Banda has received his 2025 World Series ring and reunited with his former Dodgers teammates,” Dodgers Nation wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Banda turned his career around with LA, won 2 titles, and became a fan favorite. This is awesome to see.”

Last season with the Dodgers, Banda pitched a 3.18 ERA to go along with 61 strikeouts and a 5-1 record in 71 games and 65 innings pitched. Currently with the Twins, he has a 4.22 ERA with 29 strikeouts and a 2-0 record with two saves.
Banda had been a fan favorite for fans of Los Angeles in the two seasons that he was there, as it was also the place where he turned his career around. At any rate, the Dodgers enter the series against Banda and the Twins with a 49-29 record, which puts the team in first place in the NL West.
The hope is that Minnesota could be the series Los Angeles needs to snap the two-game losing streak and brush off the stench from the two losses in the series against the Orioles. At any rate, it remains to be seen if that happens.
