Team USA has faced some devastating COVID-19 issues regarding Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal and Detroit Pistons big man Jerami Grant. Now, Team USA and Australia's scheduled game for Friday has been canceled, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Team USA announced earlier that Beal would be out for the entirety of the Tokyo Olympics and no decision has been made regarding Grant. However, the fact the game is canceled is not good news at all.

Shams also reported that their final exhibition game would be on Sunday, as of right now.

Who knows what will happen with Gregg Popovich's team and they are still searching for a replacement for Beal, and possibly Grant as well. This is just more bad news after they had finally begun to find their groove.

Thye dropped the first two games to Nigeria and Australia before bouncing back to beat Argentina, and Friday's game would have provided some much-needed tune-up for a team that has surprisingly struggled thus far.

Stay tuned for more updates regarding Team USA men's basketball team as they depart for Tokyo in just a few days. The Olympics begin on July 23 in Tokyo and who knows what will happen before then.
