According to ESPN, forward Terrence Jones has agreed to a 1-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Teams had seemingly overlooked Jones in the early days of free agency, but with the Pelicans he can finally reunite with college teammate Anthony Davis. The two played played together at Kentucky, and Jones couldn't pass up the opportunity to once again play with The Brow. According to reports, he even turned down offers from at least one other team for more money so he could play with Davis.

Jones appeared in 50 games last year for the Houston Rockets, averaging 8.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 20.9 minutes per game. In the 11 games he started, he averaged 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

The Pelicans are expected to give Jones around $1.5 million.
