Most motivated player for the 2021 season? 🤔 @saquon? @tua? Or who else? 👇 (via @gmfb)
Gettleman on not adjusting Kyle Rudolph’s contract after his foot injury was detected in his entry physical: “We are the Giants. We’re going to do everything with class.” Gettleman said the team doctors signed off on Rudolph’s foot.
Maybe it's just because the focus has turned to the draft, but not much to sink your teeth into from that Gettleman/Abrams free agency presser. Biggest takeaway to me was Abrams conceding that 2022 could be "more challenging" cap-wise.
Giants spent a lot of $$ this offseason + did things (void years, putting money into future) they don't normally do. Assistant GM Kevin Abrams says next year could be a "little bit of a challenge" financially but they should be healthy for future.

From NFL Now: The #Giants are open to trading back from No. 11, which would be a first for GM Dave Gettleman. But it does make sense...
According to ESPN's @SethWickersham, in 2018, following Tom Brady's MVP season in 2017 which led to the JG trade, the standoff between Brady and Belichick led Bill to talk to the #Giants, Washington and the #Dolphins about coaching there [@harrisonvapnek]
Dave Gettleman on seeing Dalvin Tomlinson leave in free agency: “Dalvin is a wonderful young man and he was a captain. So obviously there is regrets. But you only have so much money.”
The #Giants free agency Zoom press conference. Dave Gettleman (l.) and Kevin Abrams telling us about how they operated in March. Story coming on @NYDNSports. Thursday we will talk to Gettleman and Chris Pettit about the NFL Draft. #nfl
