Victor Oladipo has played in just two games for the Miami Heat this season but already, there have been indications of how the former two-time All-Star could make a major impact for his team this season. What is clear, however, is that he's not there yet.

Oladipo himself recently admitted that he's still quite a ways away from where he eventually wants to be. According to the Heat vet, his rhythm is still something he intends to work on in the coming weeks:

“I’m not even close,” Oladipo said, via the Miami Herald. “It’s going to take time. It’s going to take time. I’m patient and I just got to keep playing, keep getting better. Eventually it’ll get comfy out there.”

This is completely understandable considering how Oladipo missed 11 months of action due to a major quad injury. He will need some time to get acclimatized to the speed of the game which clearly, is much easier said than done.

The important part to watch out for here is that hopefully, Oladipo does not suffer any setbacks. The Heat will be cautious with the 29-year-old and head coach Erik Spoelstra will keep Oladipo on a strict minutes limit until they deem necessary. The objective is for Miami to get a fully healthy Victor Oladipo come playoff time.
