Eric Bledsoe has become the hottest player on the trade market after he made it known he wants out of the Phoenix and the Suns organization. There will be no shortage of suitors for the disgruntled Suns point guard, and anyone who eventually ends up with him will have a really good player on their hands.

Bledsoe was shut down early last season as the team opted to let their young guys get some experience, which was why he played just 66 games. In those games, however, he averaged 21 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

According to Tommy Beer of Basketball Insiders, Bledsoe was one of just seven players to average at least 21 points, four rebounds and six assists last season. The other six members of that exclusive club were all All-Stars.

Last season was not a fluke, either. Bledsoe was also on pace to hit those statistical benchmarks in the 2015-16 season, but was limited to just 31 games due to a torn meniscus in his knee which required season-ending surgery.

At his best, Bledsoe is capable of being an All-Star caliber player. He is a tremendous athlete who can be wildly productive in different facets of the game. His shooting remains shaky at times and he commits a lot of turnovers, but when he’s healthy and fully engaged, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Health is also the big factor that has often held Bledsoe back. But teams will likely be willing to take that risk in order since he can reach a level of production only a few players in the league can provide.
