Boston Celtics general manager and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is now officially gearing up for what could become one of the more busier times of the season for the heralded Eastern Conference franchise.

With the 2020 NBA trade deadline now right around the corner, Ainge has continued to be asked about his team's situation, specifically at the center position.

As it stands today, the Celtics utilize and employ three key pieces in the middle in centers Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter and Robert Williams III. However, Ainge remains confident in this trio despite the Beantown team being at the forefront of numerous trade rumors.

“They're holding their own with all the centers in the league. I feel good about our center position,” Ainge said, per A. Sherrod Blakely of NBC Sports Boston.

Perhaps most significantly, the Celtics have reportedly entered the fray in regards to current Houston Rockets center Clint Capela, who is apparently primed to be shipped out of town in the coming days. Although there are other teams in addition to Boston that are seemingly interested in potentially acquiring the Swiss big, Ainge and company can never truly be counted out.

With the Eastern Conference once again up for grabs with the likes of the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors slated to challenge the Celtics come playoff time, it is crucial that Boston solidifies its roster in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Danny Ainge and his Celtics are in third place in the Eastern Conference at 33-15.
