The injury bug has continued to bite Gordon Hayward, and it has made the Boston Celtics swingman “super frustrated.”

Hayward is currently battling a foot injury, which he suffered shortly after recovering from a broken hand. While he doesn't show his frustration and disappointment to the public, Hayward conceded that his unending battle with injuries has been hard for him.

“You don't,” he said with a smile when asked how he avoided getting frustrated, per Tim Bontempts of ESPN.  “I was frustrated, I was super frustrated. I broke my hand, and this was a different issue that when I wasn't playing you would think I could figure it out. My hand was broke. The fact that [the foot] was getting worse was frustrating everybody.

“We were calling around the country trying to figure it out. Hopefully we did. Hopefully the third time was the charm.”

To recall, Hayward suffered a gruesome injury in his first game donning the Celtics jersey in 2017. He came back the next season still not at a hundred percent but showed signs of the old Hayward.

This year was expected to feature a Hayward at a hundred percent — fully recovered from the leg injury. People expected him to be confident out there on the floor night in and night out. While this is true, as Hayward beefed up his averages to 17.1 points per game and 6.1 rebounds across 30.6 minutes, the hand and foot injuries suddenly popped out and hampered his progress.

Now, Hayward is hoping that the foot injury is the last of it. The Celtics need his services in what's turning out to be a great season for them.
