The Boston Celtics made a splash last week when high-profile free agent Gordon Hayward agreed to sign a max deal to play in Beantown.

That move spearheaded the trade which sent defensive stud Avery Bradley to the Detroit Pistons and passing on free agent big man Kelly Olynyk, who then signed with the Heat.

Danny Ainge spoke with the Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett, about what's been done so far, but says he's not done dealing yet.

“No, we’re not comfortable yet We do like our team, but we’re still going to search things out to see if we can find anything that makes us better this offseason.”

In a surprising endorsement, Ainge offered the thoughts that forward Jae Crowder is a “big part” of where the team is going despite being mentioned in trade rumors before landing Hayward.

“Jae is a big part of what we’re doing. I mean, he was our best 3-point shooter last year, and he defends some of the top players in the league. Jae’s a very important player for us going forward.”

How the pieces fit together is up to coach Brad Stevens, whom Ainge has complete trust in, but he isn't against making more moves before next season's trade deadline if it improves the team even more.

“Brad is very much involved in all that we do. We talk all the time, so I think we know how we think it will all fit. But obviously, you never know for sure. We’re trying to get a team that not only is a group of good players, but also a team that does fit.”
