It’s been a while since Courtney Lee was last seen on the court in the NBA, but on Saturday night, the New York Knicks’ veteran guard is expected to grace the league’s floor again after a lengthy absence, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

The Knicks are at home tonight, playing hosts to the Milwaukee Bucks, and are eyeing to avoid losing their third-straight game.

Lee hasn’t made an appearance to date in the 2017-18 NBA season due to a neck injury he sustained back in September. Now, he finds himself enmeshed in an unpredictable backcourt rotation in Gotham that also features the likes of Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke, Ron Baker, Emmanuel Mudiay, Damyean Dotson, and Allonzo Trier. Finding a significant playing time may be a challenge for Lee, especially this early in his return to the active roster, but Knicks head coach David Fizdale must at least be happy to see Lee back injecting experience and leadership to New York’s youngster-laden group of guards.

Lee, who signed a four-year deal worth $48 million with the Knicks back in 2016, played in 76 games last season and averaged 12.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1. steals on 30.4 minutes per game.

Courtney Lee, who played college ball at Western Kentucky, was drafted by the Orlando Magic 22nd overall in the 2008 NBA Draft.
