More Hatsune Miku content is coming to MTG via the Secret Lair Superdrop 2024. This upcoming collection is the second out of four Hatsune Miku collaborative drops this year. The other two drops will be released come the remaining seasons of the year, which are fall and winter.

MTG Hatsune Miku Summer Drop

Earlier this spring, MTG and Secret Lair dropped their first collaboration with the Japanese Vocaloid Hatsune Miku. The first set featured six cards that were reprinted as a different variant of existing MTG cards.

For the Secret Lair Summer Superdrop 2024, the second set of Hatsune Miku cards will once again have six cards. Here's a full list:

  • Child of Alara as “Miku, Child of Song”
  • Chord of Calling
  • Diabolic Tutor
  • Sol Ring
  • Song of Creation
  • Thespian's Sage

Miku, Child of Song

MTG Hatsune Miku

Miku, Child of Song is a reskin of Child of Alara. This legendary creature is five to cast (one white, one blue, one black, one red, and one green) and is something that opposing players need to counter the moment the controller casts it.

She has Trample and has a death trigger wherein she destroys all nonland permanents and they can't be regenerated. It's quite risky to let this creature resolve considering the controller has a living board wipe on the battlefield. One wrong move and it's lights out for everyone on the table.

Chord of Calling

Chord of Calling is a green instant tutor spell that can help players search for a creature they need. Its initial cost is three (three green) with an additional X where X is how much mana the controller pays.

The beauty of this instant spell is that it has Convoke. That means the controller can tap any number of creatures to help pay for the cost. It's a reliable ability, especially if one struggles with land drops.

Once cast, controllers will search their library for a creature with mana value X or less. That creature then enters the battlefield. It's a handy card to have in one's library as they can easily grab their win cons faster.

Diabolic TutorMTG Hatsune Miku

Another tutor card on this list is Diabolic Tutor. This sorcery spell costs four to cast (two generic and two black), which allows controllers to search their library for any card they need. It's one of the more staple cards to have in black decks or decks with black in it.

Sol Ring

Speaking of staple cards, Sol Ring is getting reprinted in the MTG Hatsune Miku Secret Lair Superdrop. This mana rock is one of the most sought-after cards in an EDH deck. Players can easily make turn-one plays thanks to the extra mana it provides for a one-cost (one generic) card.

Song of CreationMTG Hatsune Miku

Song of Creation is a four-cost (one generic, one green, one blue, and one red) enchantment spell that allows the controller to play an additional land on each turn.

Not only does this card serve as an extra land drop, but it's also a good draw engine to add to the deck. For each spell the controller casts, they automatically draw two cards. Countering their spells won't matter since the ability triggers upon casting.

The only drawback of this card is the end step trigger, which forces the controller to discard one card from their hand. However, if they were able to maximize their drawing ability, discarding one card wouldn't be much of a problem.

Thespian's Sage

Last on the list of Hatsune Miku cards coming out this summer is Thespian's Sage. This land provides one generic mana and can also become a copy of another target land.
