KD appears to have avoided another significant injury here, and he is expected to return to action soon.</p><p>The Nets are in action on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans and Durant was ruled out of the contest a couple of days prior. It is the first night of a back-to-back set, so it would not be surprising if KD takes the floor on Thursday against the Toronto Raptors.</p><p>Then again, this is the Nets we’re talking about here. It’s not as if they urgently need Durant back at this point in the season, so it’s also a possibility that the team holds him out for a couple more games.</p><p>As for Harden, the former league MVP reportedly suffered a setback in his road to recovery. An MRI was done on his hamstring and the results were not what the Nets were expecting. Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon and Magic Johnson are the only guys on his squad that spent their primes in the 1990s or earlier.</p><p>Aside from “The Brow,” Durant also included Tracy McGrady on his roster. As good as T-Mac was when healthy, it is unlikely he would be found on a ton of “all-time” rosters.</p><p>Ultimately, these lists are subjective. Kevin Durant will be fine after sustaining a left thigh contusion during Sunday’s game against the Miami Heat.</p><p>While Durant will be out when the Nets play the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, <a href="https://twitter.com/NYPost_Lewis/status/1384264882715955205" rel="noopener">Brian Lewis of The New York Post</a> reported that the team doesn’t think his injury is not serious enough after evaluation. After also losing James Harden to a hamstring injury, they stumbled a bit and lost two of their last three games as the Philadelphia 76ers surpassed them in the <a href="https://clutchpoints.com/sports/nba/standings/" rel="noopener">Eastern Conference standings</a>.</p><p>The level of injuries that the team has suffered has also been becoming concerning, given the fact their Big 3 of KD, Harden and Irving have been the main victims. This has raised fears that the team’s development stagnated, which could lead to a poor performance come playoff time.</p><p>With that said, the fact that Kevin Durant’s thigh injury is not serious is exactly what the team needed at the moment. This also means the superstar forward will not be sidelined for long and should be able to return sooner rather than later. After the Pelicans, the Nets will visit the Toronto Raptors in Tampa on Wednesday before hosting the Boston Celtics at home in Barclays Center on Friday.</p><p>Hopefully, KD will be able to return in those two other games this week.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

He mentioned teammates Kyrie Irving and James Harden as the top two players he’s played with followed by Golden State Warriors splash brothers Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and then Los Angeles Clippers big man Serge Ibaka, who Kevin Durant played with for the Thunder. </p><p>It was evident that Durant had a hard time naming the fifth player so this might have been the moment he forgot Westbrook. This would have certainly derived quite a few reactions from NBA fans and maybe Westbrook himself. But Durant eventually did the right thing by correcting his honest mistake. </p><p>Damian Lillard, who has his fair share of animosity with Westbrook, might have implied that Brodie should have indeed been on the list. The clip that’s going around doesn’t show that Durant corrected himself. Even so, the fact that he forgot Westbrook’s name at first could garner a bunch of reactions from the basketball universe. </p><p>Westbrook is still on top of his game as he is currently averaging a triple double this season with 21.9 points, 10.9 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game—same numbers he would often produce when he played with Durant.</p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>

He mentioned teammates Kyrie Irving and James Harden as the top two players he’s played with followed by Golden State Warriors splash brothers Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and then Los Angeles Clippers big man Serge Ibaka, who Kevin Durant played with for the Thunder. </p><p>Durant probably had a hard time naming the last player. Based on the video, it was telling how long he paused before he mentioned the fifth best player he played with. The host of the podcast, which Kevin Durant was a guest on, asked KD why he didn’t include Westbrook. As it turns out, the Brodie didn’t register in Durant’s mind at first.</p><figure><img src="https://clutchpoints.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/NBA-news-Kevin-Durant-embarrasses-Davis-Bertans-Russell-Westbrook-gets-revenge.jpg"></figure><p>Then, Kevin Durant clarified that Westbrook <a href="https://www.bulletsforever.com/2021/4/18/22390664/washington-wizards-boston-celtics-nba-trade-analysis-moritz-wagner-troy-brown">is indeed top five</a> but didn’t say who he would omit on the list.</p><p>Westbrook is still on top of his game as he is currently averaging a triple double this season specifically 21.9 points, 10.9 rebounds and 10.8 assists per game—same numbers he would often produced when he played with Kevin Durant. It’s easy to put Curry, Irving, and Harden above Westbrook but Thompson and Ibaka are a little questionable. </p><figure class="op-tracker"></figure></article>    </body></html>
