The Minnesota Vikings are one of the most intriguing teams in the NFL. They have a mix of tons of youth, with both of their last two draft classes including more than ten picks. Minnesota also has a strong veteran presence on the team, with Anthony Barr and Danielle Hunter playing huge roles. The Vikings are one of the most underrated teams in football, partially due to this mixture, and they look poised to make their return to the playoffs.

A couple of moves would dramatically increase the likelihood of a return to the playoffs for the Vikings. The wide receiver corps and the interior offensive line could use some depth, as injuries to those two positions could be devastating to Minnesota's season.

Here are three potential trade candidates for the Vikings.

Andy Isabella

While hearing Isabella's name as a potential target probably doesn't get Minnesota fans out of their seats, this is a very sensible trade. The University of Massachusetts product hasn't really had a chance to showcase his ability in his career, as he's been stuck behind a loaded depth chart with the Arizona Cardinals. It appears that it will stay that way, as the Cardinals just drafted another receiver in the second round. Isabella's time is up in the desert, so the Vikings should be able to get him at a fairly low price.

Isabella is also a good fit with Minnesota. He would fight for the third starting receiver job and bring a skillset that the receiving corps is missing. Isabella is an absolute speedster, a role that Minnesota doesn't have filled. His presence would stretch the field on the frequent play-action play calls and allow Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson to work more in one-on-one matchups. Even if he can't win the starting job right away, there's a good chance he can take it away from Bisi Johnson or Chad Beebe down the stretch.

Preston Williams

Williams is another underrated pass-catcher that the Vikings should pursue. He brings a different skill set to Minnesota, as the Vikings don't currently have a physical jump-ball specialist on the roster. Williams' presence would be felt the most in the red zone, where he could take advantage of one-on-one matchups created by the presence of Jefferson and Thielen. The current Miami Dolphin could be used to create even more mismatches all around the field in Minnesota.

Williams is a riskier proposition than Isabella is because of his injury concerns, but his upside is higher. He's already proven he can play at a high level when he's healthy, but the Vikings would have to accept the injury risks that come with him. The Dolphins might not mind giving up the Colorado State product, as the front office just signed Will Fuller and drafted Jaylen Waddle to fill the starting receiver roles, presumably. Williams looks like he's out of a starting job, so Minnesota could pounce on this opportunity to land a potential-starting caliber receiver for cheap.

Justin Britt

If you didn't recognize this name at first glance, don't worry. Britt didn't play football last year because of an ACL tear suffered in the middle of the 2019 season, but he's now fully healthy and ready to continue his career. The Missouri product started his career on the Seattle Seahawks, where he proved himself to be a solid, versatile lineman who could play any of the five positions. Britt is currently on the Houston Texans in a reserve role, something he would love to change. The Texans should be open to all trade offers they receive, so a late-round pick should do the trick here.

Britt's versatility is what should make him appealing to Minnesota. He's played tackle, guard, and center in the NFL throughout his career, so acquiring Britt ensures that the center and guard positions have a reliable backup. This flier would probably cost the Vikings next to nothing, so they should absolutely take a shot.
