The 2016 Rio Olympics has been very eventful for Carmelo Anthony.
Not only did he start using Snapchat, but he also had one statistical milestone after another as the tournament matured, further solidifying his status as “Mr. USA Basketball”.
Anthony is eyeing an unprecedented 3rd gold medal which will only be a fitting exclamation to the amazing run that the New York Knicks superstar has had with the national team.
As for the future, 2020 in particular, Anthony is keeping that thought out of his mind for now, per Michael Lee’s article for The Vertical.
“I don’t know. That’s too far ahead for me be thinking. That’s too far ahead. This decision was hard to come back this year.”
Carmelo Anthony would be 36-years-old by then, which isn’t an advanced age really for a 4th gold medal.
