While Boston Celtics center Al Horford is still deciding on his pending free agency, it looks like his time playing at TD Garden is over.

Via The Boston Globe:

A source close to Horford said the forward has returned to his home in Atlanta, and that no decision has been made about his future. Nevertheless, a league source maintained that Horford’s time in Boston is over.

Horford, 33, has played three seasons with the Celtics, notching 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. In 2018-2019, Horford averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

Prior to Boston, Horford played nine seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, where he averaged 14.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

There have been a number of teams rumored to be in on Horford, who declined a player option worth over $30 million for the 2019-20 season. Boston initially wanted to re-sign Horford to a long-term deal at a lower annual value, but he's reportedly expected to have a four-year offer worth over $100 million on the table for him when free agency opens.

It is becoming increasingly likely that the Celtics will be without point guard Kyrie Irving and Al Horford when they take the court this upcoming season. However, it looks like Kemba Walker may wind up being Irving's replacement.
