After a 1-3 start to the season, the New York Knicks have their eyes set on a visit to the Windy City, which will also be Derrick Rose‘s return to his former team, the Chicago Bulls, on a nationally televised game.

Rose will be flying to Chicago, wearing a different jersey than the one he's donned for the past seven seasons. The return will also be the first for teammate Joakim Noah, who signed with the Knicks shortly after Rose was traded in a five-player swap.

“I haven’t been thinking about it, man,’’ Rose told Marc Berman of the New York Post. “Only when probably it’s game day, I’ll think about it. There’s no bad blood there either. I understand this is a business. They made a business decision. On my end, I just got to stay prepared.”

Rose has shown flashes of brilliance that resembled his MVP days in Chicago and has performed adequately so far, but not anywhere close to really impressing with his numbers. The 6-foot-3 point guard will likely take a few more games to get acquainted with the system, since he missed the vast majority of training camp and the preseason due to his civil trial.

His numbers will likely have to soon materialize into wins, as a very anxious Big Apple fanbase has high hopes for the Chicago native.
