It was business as usual for Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils Saturday night, as they crushed their archrival North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill to the tune of an 87-76 score. It was, of course, an extra special night for the rivalry, with the game being Coach K’s final game coaching in Tar Heels territory.

The legendary basketball head coach is set to retire at the end of the 2021-22 college basketball season, and his Blue Devils were not going to let him down in his last appearance as head coach of their program at the Tar Heels’ home.

The game was made even more memorable for Krzyzewski, as the Blue Devils managed to pull off a feat rarely seen in the history of Duke-North Carolina rivalry.

Krzyzewski also got to hear Tar Heels supporters boo him for one last time in Chapel Hill, though, it barely meant anything to him. He's heard it all through his career. Getting that kind of treatment from North Carolina fans  is as normal to Coach K as a win for Duke in this season.

“I'm accustomed to that,” said Krzyzewski, who has downplayed questions about his farewell season all year. “I expect that. So I got what I expected and I'm always ready for it.”

With the win over North Carolina, Duke has now extended its win streak to five games and improved its overall record to 19-3 (9-2 in ACC play).
