The NBA, in partnership with American Express, recently began offering fans who buy the jersey of a player who subsequently began playing for a different a free jersey of their choice. Dwyane Wade, though, is probably out of luck.

The Miami Heat legend spent his NBA swan song swapping jerseys post-game with players, some of whom were his friends, from opposing teams. Now that so many superstars and impact players have switched teams this offseason, Wade suddenly finds himself with a whole bunch of jerseys that are no longer relevant.

Wade's tweet was in response to another shocking blockbuster trade: Chris Paul and multiple future first-round picks being sent from the Houston Rockets to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Russell Westbrook. That deal materialized quickly as a result of a different stunning trade involving the Thunder, the deal that landed Paul George ā€“ and by proxy, Kawhi Leonard ā€“ back home with the LA Clippers for a record trove of future first-round picks.

Paul, along with LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, is one of Wade's closest friends in the NBA. George is friendly with Wade, too, having competed for Eastern Conference supremacy over multiple years when the former was with the Indiana Pacers. Both players, of course, swapped jerseys with Wade last season.

Will either Paul or George send him a replacement? If only Dwyane Wade was a regular fan and not one of the several best shooting guards of all time, he'd have a much easier means of replenishing his now outdated collection of jerseys.
