The Miami Heat desperately need a win. After losing to the Orlando Magic Tuesday night, the Heat relinquished their hold on the eighth and final playoff seed in the Eastern Conference.

But unfortunately for Miami, it looks like they might be a little shorthanded as they attempt to bounce back. Josh Richardson is being listed as questionable for their Thursday game against the Mavericks, according to Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Per Winderman, Richardson is dealing with a bruised left heel. Winderman points out that they'll already be without Justise Winslow and Rodney McGruder, so they'll be pretty thin if they don't have Richardson for this one.

Richardson has been having by far the best year of his career, averaging 16.7 points per game. Richardson has only missed two games the entire season, so it would be a huge blow to the Heat if he has to miss any significant time.

Richardson played 40 minutes in the loss to the Magic, and it's unclear whether this is a new injury or something that has been lingering for a while.

The Heat are now a half game back of the Magic with just eight games left to play. Every game is a must-win from here on out if the Heat want to make the playoffs in Dwyane Wade's final season.

The Heat had been on fire recently, but have now dropped two straight games to the Bucks and Magic.

They'll need all hands on deck for this home stretch, so hopefully Richardson's injury isn't serious.
