Miami Heat veteran forward Andre Iguodala was caught on camera in a video montage saying Bam Adebayo's block was the ‘best ever'. The highlight play occurred in the dying seconds of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics which secured the 117-114 victory for the Heat.

Four years ago, it was Iguodala who was on the receiving end of a game-saving block by Lebron James who led a 3-1 comeback to win the 2016 NBA championship in a deciding Game 7.

In the 2020 NBA Playoffs, the Heat went on to carry the momentum and won the series in a 4-2 outcome for the right to play in the 2020 NBA Finals. They then crossed paths with Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers in the championship series.

Adebayo went down with a neck strain and a shoulder injury in Game 1 where he left the game with tallies of eight points and four rebounds on 21 minutes of action. He sat out Games 2 and 3 but attempted to contribute in Games 4 and 5. The former Kentucky standout had his best game of the series in Game 6 where he recorded a total of 25 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists through 42 minutes played.

Despite his valiant efforts, the Heat ultimately lacked firepower to match up against the formidable duo of Lebron James and Anthony Davis. A series-ending 106-93 victory eventually gave the Purple and Gold its 17th title in franchise history.

With the loss, Adebayo and the rest of the Heat are determined to make a comeback and finally win it all come the 2020-2021 NBA season.
