Some offensive firepower may be headed to Madison Square Garden in the form of a shooting guard.

With $35 million dollars in cap space the New York Knicks are expected to be major players in free agency. While unconfirmed, rumors have swirled that Joakim Noah has agreed to a contract in principle for around $18 million dollars to come to the big apple. While Noah could be a key addition, the Knicks currently have a gaping hole at shooting guard. They have only have one on roster in Justin Holiday. Of last year's starters, Aaron Afflalo opted out of his contract.

According to ESPN's  Mark Stein and Ian BegleyCourtney Lee and Eric Gordon are two names linked to the organization. Financially, both players would be able to join Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks along with Joakim Noah, if his rumored deal comes to fruition.

Eric Gordon
+Bio

Eric Gordon is an intriguing valuable asset. Once touted as a rising star in the league, dealt to New Orleans from LA as the feature piece in the Chris Paul trade, injuries and roster turnover have hindered his growth. While his inconsistent play is a drawback, he boasts valued NBA traits. Gordon can slash to the basket as well as shoot, averaging 15.2 points a game this year while stroking an admirable 38.4% from three. If Gordon can stay healthy and fulfill some of the promise he showed for the Clippers he could be a tremendous signing.

Courtney Lee is a more proven commodity, having played for 6 NBA franchises. Lee is a consistent shooter: 38.4% from 3 for his career. On a team with two players who like the ball in their hands in Anthony and Rose, Lee's off-ball movement, catch and shoot ability, and solid defense add a strong balance to the lineup.

With a potential lineup featuring Rose, Lee or Gordon, Anthony, Porzingis and Noah, the Knicks could be looking to make some noise in the Eastern Conference.
