NBA legend and New York Knicks Hall of Famer Walt “Clyde” Frazier shared an interesting story of Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter's generosity during the broadcast of today's game.

Clyde said that when Kanter was still playing for the Knicks, the big man gave him a gift certificate for Gucci. Frazier thought the certificate was worth $50. When he shared this with his girlfriend, she remarked that $50 would not be enough to purchase anything from a Gucci store. Clyde looked at the certificate again and it turns out it was good for $500. He was unsure why Kanter gave him the gift, but he was appreciative of it.

With his brightly colored suits and unique style, Frazier probably made the most of that Gucci gift certificate.

Kanter suited up for the Knicks for two seasons from 2017 to 2019. During this stint, he did what he does best and averaged a double-double in points and rebounds. This was also the time when his free throw shooting was at its best, going over 80 percent. Kanter left New York to play for the Blazers and then the Boston Celtics, eventually returning to Portland for this season.

Frazier played for New York from 1967 to 1977. He was a playmaker and a tenacious defender making the NBA All-Defensive First Team from 1969 to 1975. Clyde was a seven-time All-Star. The team managed to win two championships in 1970 and 1973. Throughout his career, he averaged 18.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.

His jersey, No. 10, is retired by the team. Just the mention of Frazier's name brings nostalgia to die-hard New York fans of their glory days.
