New York Knicks fans let their team know that they wanted Michael Porter Jr. Yet in a turn of events, the Knicks selected Kevin Knox as the ninth overall pick.

Below is the video of Knicks fans booing their team's choice:

It's understandable that Knicks fans behaved this way. After all, it's been a long time since they've been considered a winning ball club.

Besides, Michael Porter Jr.'s stock has risen drastically over the past few days leading up to draft night. Medical tests revealed that his injured back is now fully healed and there's no reason for teams to worry. Porter Jr. even said that his playstyle is a mix of Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo:

“Right now, I would say I’m a mix of Giannis and KD,” Porter said on The DA Show. “I like going to the hole a little more than KD does. I like bumping into people (and I’m) a little more physical than KD. But I like to shoot the ball a little more than Giannis.”

However, Knox has been tagged by several analysts as the biggest sleeper in this year's draft. He's a combo forward, 18-years-old, who can pretty much do anything on the court. Per Marc Berman of The New York Post, Knox spoke at length about his meeting with Knicks coach David Fizdale:

“He’s probably one of the greatest coaches I’ve ever met, as far as information and knowledge of the game and of your personal life,” Knox said Wednesday of Fizdale. “We talked a lot about our personal lives. He gave me some tips about life. He’s a player’s coach. He’s really good coaching X’s and O’s, and I really enjoyed my time with him.
