Boston Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are pleased to be named All-Stars this year. But they aren't too excited about this milestone given their team's subpar win-loss record.

For the second time in his young career, Tatum was selected as an All-Star this season. It's a monumental milestone for any NBA player. But the forward himself isn't too happy with it given the Celtics' 19-13 record.

It's a decent win-loss record, but Tatum is not satisfied being third in the Eastern Conference. After all, this is the first time since the 2014-15 season that the Celtics have fallen below .500.

“It's like damn, look at our record, it's hard to really focus on (the All-Star Game), when we're not where we want to be as a team. It's an honor to be an All-Star but we're used to winning games and being at the top of the East,” Tatum said, per Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

The same sentiment was echoed by Brown who was, for the first time in his career, was named an All-Star. Other players would cry if they achieved such a dream. But Boston's 5th-year man isn't in a festive mood.

“I don't feel much like an all-star,” Brown said per A. Sherod Blakely.

Tatum and Brown's comments reveal a lot about their mindset to right the ship for the Celtics this season. To be named an All-Star is the goal of many players. But these individual accolades don't mean much to both players anymore. What's important to them is the team racks up the victories. The more wins they have, then the better chance they have at finally winning that title.
