Jayson Tatum is the best player on the Boston Celtics, and he's catching the eye of other stars playing in the Boston area. With neither of them being able to swap jerseys on the court, Tatum and Stephon Gilmore showed respect to one another by swapping jerseys via mail.

Gilmore is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in the NFL after compiling an impressive season in 2019. The All-Pro cornerback logged 20 pass breakups and a career-high six interceptions for the New England Patriots last season.

Despite issues with COVID-19 and injuries, Stephon Gilmore is still one of the premier cornerbacks in the NFL. On the other hand, Jayson Tatum is evolving into one of the premier forwards in the NBA for the Celtics.
In 2019-20, his third year in the NBA, Tatum notched career-highs in points (23.4), rebounds (7.0) and assists (3.0) per game. The former No. 3 overall pick out of Duke, at only 22 years old, recently signed a massive extension with the Celtics that is worth $195 million over five years.
For the Patriots, Gilmore is an experienced cornerback that has already left his mark, helping New England win a Super Bowl in 2018. While Tatum and Gilmore exchange jerseys, Tatum hopes to bring a championship to Boston as Gilmore has.
