The Boston Celtics have been rumored as one of the preferred destinations of Bradley Beal if he decides to request a trade from the Washington Wizards. However, actually making a deal for it is another matter. After all, any Beal trade to Beantown would probably require Jaylen Brown.
According to Zach Lowe during the Woj & Lowe Free Agency Special, it doesn't look like the Celtics would be willing to offer Brown just to get Beal.
“Is Boston going to offer Jaylen Brown? I don’t think so,” Lowe said. “To me there’s not much point in giving up one star for another, if you’re Boston.”
Bradley Beal and Celtics star Jayson Tatum are close friends, which is probably one of the reasons why the trade for the Wizards star seems to be appealing. Nonetheless, Lowe certainly makes a great point since Jaylen Brown is just as talented and four years younger. Not to mention that he's coming off an All-Star year.

Tatum, for his part, appears to endorse the possibility of trading for Beal. In a recent Instagram comment on the news about the Wizards guard potentially asking for a trade, Tatum hinted that he wants his good friend alongside him in Beantown.
Beal has not yet made a decision regarding his future, but should he desire for a change in scenery where he can compete for a championship, Celtics fans should not get their hopes up.
