The Ohio State football program saw the success of both Georgia and Michigan in recent College Football Playoffs and vows to never lag behind again. Coach Ryan Day has been on a recruitment spree such that his squad could dominate the Big Ten Conference and other cross-conference rivals. This time he might have taken 20 steps ahead of other coaches rather than just a few. It is largely because the Buckeyes gave Brady Edmunds a very early scholarship offer.
Ryan Day joins the fray

Getting a contract in one's junior year of high school is already relatively early. But, Ryan Day and the rest of the Ohio State football program are pushing those bounds along with other squads. Brady Edmunds is a quarterback for the class of 2027. You did not misread that. This young prodigy has gotten a scholarship offer a little over three years before he becomes eligible to play for the Buckeyes.
After a great conversation with @ryandaytime I’m grateful to have received an offer from THEE Ohio State University!🌰#GoBucks @OhioStateFB @CoachRLarkin @HBHSFootball @CoachDanny10 @footballandlife @RickHagedorn @GregBiggins @ChadSimmons_ @adamgorney @BrandonHuffman pic.twitter.com/vVsiNz1qlk

This is not the only involvement that Brady Edmunds had with the Ohio State football squad. He had already joined camps two summers before. However, there are other suitors that the Buckeyes need to outduel in their quest for a letter of intent. Programs like Arizona State, UConn, Michigan, Penn State, and Texas have all given him either a visit or a legitimate offer, per The Spun.
But, he just keeps coming back to the Ohio State football squad. His desire to continue camp with the Buckeyes could mean that he has a lot of interest in joining the Big Ten powerhouse in a little over three years. He already has the offer. Moreover, he has gotten to know the staff that might be there when he formally signs with the squad. It will just be up to time and his own volition down the line to decide if Coach Ryan Day's program truly fits him. If the goal was to reach the NFL, he would not make any wrong decisions given the amount of offers that he has received.
What makes this Ohio State football prospect special?
For starters, his frame is already built and may just need some more conditioning. Edmunds is already at the height of a staggering six-foot-five. This gives a big advantage in the line of sight over the trenches. It makes for easy passes to wide receivers as well as scouting the plays of their opponents faster. Another big plus is that he has reached this stature at an early age. This means that Edmunds can get really comfortable with his body at that height already. Clumsy plays very seldom occur with early bloomers.
Another is that he is weighed at around 200 pounds. This means that Edmunds can rummage through a lot of defensive ends and other defensemen who are trying to knock him down. It adds to his ability to rarely get sacked. He is also able to rush for a significant amount of yards without being taken down immediately.
There are a lot of pros for when Ohio State football lands him. The only con down the line is that when another team, maybe even a Big Ten rival lands him instead,
