This year's 2022 NHL Tim Horton's Heritage Classic is set to be played between the Buffalo Sabres and the Toronto Maple Leafs this Sunday, March 13th. It will be played at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario at 3pm eastern. For anyone who has ever wondered if Wayne Gretzky would make a great announcer, this will be the game to find out.

Gretzky has reportedly agreed to join Kenny Albert in the booth to call the game for TNT.
Article Continues BelowThis will be the first time Gretzky, otherwise known as “The Great One,” will call a professional hockey game. Eddie Olczyk and Keith Jones will also be part of the broadcast team.
Following his departure from the Edmonton Oilers as vice chairman, Wayne Gretzky had joined Turner Sports as a studio analyst. He got his feet wet in the studio and now appears to be ready to make the jump to the ice. Well, at least to calling the action on the ice as it happens, as opposed to afterward.
The Sabres are the designated home team. It will be their third outdoor game in their franchise's history, as well as the Maple Leafs. The Sabres actually played the inaugural Winter Classic outdoors at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, New York in 2008.
