Adding to the list of comical statements from the New York Knicks this year, the organization reportedly asked the Phoenix Suns for second-year phenom Devin Booker and the No. 4 overall pick in exchange for star forward Kristaps Porzingis, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 Radio.

The offers for Porzingis are overloading the Knicks' front office, with the likes of the Boston Celtics and Suns inquiring for the 7-foot-3 versatile forward.

Knicks president Phil Jackson is definitely aiming high, with an asking price that made most people in the Suns' front office roll their eyes in disbelief.

Both players just got done with their second year, but are very similar in terms of their NBA futures within their respective organizations. To ask for the No. 4 overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft not only goes over an even swap, but also disables the youth movement that Phoenix has been trying to push throughout the season.

Porzingis could be a fit on nearly every team due to his size and versatility, but there aren't many teams willing to swap out their youth, as most tend to want to build for the future instead of just changing it for a different one.

Jackson's willingness to roll the dice means that not only is he fielding calls, but also engaging fully in a Porzingis trade, contradicting those who thought he'd only nod his head if the right offer came along. It seems like the Zen Master is very intent in cutting ties to those who oppose his triangle offensive system.
