Houston Rockets superstar James Harden added another feather to his cap on Sunday, as he led his team to a very impressive victory against the league-best Milwaukee Bucks, 120-116. The former MVP dropped another 24 points on Sunday, and in the process, surpassed the great David Robinson for the best all-time scorer by a left-handed player.

The Rockets superstar actually had a subpar offensive outing on Sunday … by his extremely high standards of course. He scored his 24 points on 5-of-14 shooting overall, including just 3-of-12 from distance. He did go 11-of-13 from the charity stripe, though, while also adding seven rebounds, seven assists, and six steals as part of a stellar defensive showing. Those numbers look pedestrian compared to his opening night performance, however, when the All-Star shooting guard dropped a cool 49-point performance on 14-of-20 shooting.
Harden is now 39th on the all-time scoring list with 20,796 points. Next up on the list for Harden is Hall of Fame big man Bob Petit, who himself amassed 20,880 career points. It shouldn't take long before Harden takes over Petit's spot and continues his rise up the charts.
For the record, Harden will be able to crack the top 10 if he passes 27,313 points. Another legendary big man in Elvin Hayes is currently sitting at the 10th spot on the all-time scoring list, and the Rockets star still has a ways to go before getting there.
Harden is just 30 years old, though, so he still has a fair amount of good basketball years ahead of him. Given the rate at which he scores, it would be a surprise if he doesn't get into that top 10.
