Is Sixers star Joel Embiid playing vs. Cavs

Embiid was added to the injury report on Sunday morning ahead of the 76ers' clash with the Cavaliers. He's currently listed as questionable to play in the afternoon bout, due to left ankle soreness. The Sixers are entering the second leg of a back-to-back, so it's possible they elect to keep Embiid on the sideline in order to rest his ankle.

In Philly's last game, a commanding win over the Charlotte Hornets, Embiid logged 31 minutes on the court, scoring 29 points and adding 14 rebounds. The ankle certainly didn't seem to be slowing down the star center against the Hornets in the 144-114 win.

The Sixers are currently clinging onto the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference at 47-30. They hold a 4.5-game advantage over the Cavs, who are 43-35 and in seventh. Philly is half a game behind the Celtics for third and is trailing the first-place Miami Heat by 2.5 games.

The match is set to tip-off at 6:00 p.m. EST, so the Sixers will likely provide a further update on Embiid's status closer to game time. For now, however, the official ruling on the star center is that he's questionable.
